EMERGENCY SITUATION

I am a single mother of four. I have recently graduated with an associates degree in business. because I was a student that did not allow me to work as much as I needed to. I am now in desperate need of help.... I am going to have my electricity turned off on May 24th. If I do not come up with $586 dollars. If anyone can help or knows of any agency that can help... PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! Let me know.

thank you, for the help, the churches are going to send some to my morgage man, he doesn't care though he's adding late charges and intrest and says for me to be out by june 26 he has added it up now to 6000.00 and some dollars he just has no heart may and junes payments aren't even due until the 26

I'm not sure what state you are in but try contacting the following agencies: Salvation Army, Red Cross, United Way. Also your local churches sometimes help...I am not very religious and haven't attended church in years but there a few churches that will still help out. The won't pay the whole bill but will help out with a portion. Also try your county's local social service office or agency. I'm in Florida so I can't give you specifics. Also if your children are school age you might want to try the schools. I had a situation last year and ended up getting a $100 towards my bill. Another option is calling the Electric Company and finding out what agencies they recommend. They won't volunteer the info unless you ask them. Good luck!
